I apologize for any inconvenience with this post being delayed. My son is sick with 102 fever. I will have posted by end of day today and will include a bonus project.
Got call from Doctor son has mononucleosis and I'm having a hard time keeping him comfortable and keeping the fever down. I will be back, just trying to get things under control, I apologize for any inconvenience.
Finally able to regulate my sons fever and he definately has his good and bad hours, but I was thankfully able to carve out some time to finally upload these to the computer and post them for you! Thanks for your patience with me during this challenging time.
Here is the Giraffe that I colored with Markers. This Marker Technique is fairly simple, but I do have some Coloring with Marker Tips:
- Use a light touch. I mean a really light touch.
- Use a similar lighter color and then go back with a slightly darker color to add shading.
- Black, Dark Browns, Dark Grays generally don't work well.
- Try lightly tapping ink to create differnt shades
- Use the wide brush tip for most coloring with markers
- Use the narrow .5mm tip when it is a very narrow area, but don't use this side too often, only for tight spots.
- Avoid using the .5mm tip for coloring with markers on a regular basis as it's meant to journal not color.
Here is the card that I created with this Giraffe:
The colors used were:
- Summer Starfruit
- Soft Suede
- Very Vanilla
- Crumb Cake
Here is one I created using metal
Here is another Coloring with Markers Sample:
Here is what it looked like with the marker to stamp set technique
Here is what it looks like Coloring with Markers. Keep in mind you can stamp the image in stazon black ink and then color in as well for a different look. Be sure the stazon ink is used to avoid color bleeding.
Here is the finished note card!
I hope these samples have inspired you to do Coloring with Markers! Experiment with different color combinations and see what works for you! I would love to see what you create! Thanks again for hanging in there this week with me! Check back tomorrow for the next technique using Markers!
