Today's Marker Technique is the  Marker to Rubber Stamp.  It is a very fun and easy technique to master and it's one of my all time favorite Marker Techniques which is why I'm excited to share it with you today.

The Marker Technique you are learning today is best used on line art images, not necessarily solid images, and best on Rubber Stamps.  (honestly I haven't tried this on photopolymer stamps, I'm sure it would work great, I'll try tonight and let you know)  Below are some pictures or each step.  You can click on each picture and it will enlarge to reveal a larger image if you would like.

  • To begin this Marker Technique begin by selectling your favorite line art image.
  • Next pick out 3 or 4 of the Stampin' Write Markers colors you wish to use.
  • Now gently take your marker and color in desired areas using the wide brush end.  If needed you can use the .5mm end for tight spots.
    • if you make a mistake or color an area you didn't intend to color you can remove the color with a clean blender pen and redo the area you were coloring

  • After you have colored in the image (see picture below)  "huff" or breathe on the stamp.  This releases any ink that may have temporarily dried on the stamp to re-moisten it for stamping

  • Stamp your image onto a neutral piece of card stock, Whisper White was used here
