Good Morning! 1st Class Creativity presents – Watercolor Wednesday
I have just fallen in love with Water-coloring! Each time you do it it's different. It's so much fun and a GREAT STRESS RELIEVER! Did you know there are several ways you can watercolor?
This week the focus is the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Crayons. The first thing you want to do is stamp your image in Stazon Black Ink onto watercolor paper. Although you don't have to use watercolor paper I highly recommend it for the best look. If you don't have Stazon you need to use a pigment ink (one that is not water based) so your colors don't run.
After stamping the image, wait for the ink to dry and then use our Aqua Painter to pick up the colors from the Stampin' Up!s watercolor crayons. Start your painting using the lightest color and then layer from there. Here is a picture of the finished card. You can also leave white space for a different look. If you want to see the specific steps go to the Gallery and you can find them there.
What is YOUR favorite way to watercolor? Post your preference by clicking on the comments link under the picture. By doing this you will be entered into the drawing for a FREE aqua-painter set! That is a $16.95 value. But Hurry! This is only available until March 22nd, and only available through Kari Mason, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, 1st Class Creativity.
Hi Kari!
I love to do watercoloring as well – thanks for sharing!
Heather 🙂
I have to admit, I like the watecolour crayons the best. Nice and smooth….
I have only watercolored once, so I guess I would have to say the watercolor crayons are my favorite.
