1st Class Creativity presents Tutorial Thursday this week is the AQUA PAINTER Technique.

If you never have used an Aqua Painter it can be a little confusing.   The Aqua Painter comes in two brush sizes.  One is more narrow and the other is more wide.  The sets comes in two.  The first thing you do is unscrew the top and then fill with water then screw the cap back on.  Take the top off and and gently squeeze the aqua painter until water begins to come out.  At that point you are able to pick up color to paint your projects from a number of different mediums like the Watercolor Crayons.

IMPORTANT AQUA PAINTER TIPS:

  • Once you squeeze the water out of the painter you do not want to continue squeezing or you will get too much water on your project.

  • Only squeeze the aqua painter to release more water when the tip no longer picks up color.

  • To change colors just wipe the tip on paper until the color is gone then move onto the next color

  • If you get too much water on your project you can use a papertowel or kleenex to remove some of the water as long as you don't "mush" it down onto the paper.
