Throwback Thursday Cardmaking Ideas – Throwback Thursday is going to be the new theme for Thursdays. We've really enjoyed the Throwback Thursday phenomenon that has taken a hold on Facebook so we though it would be fun to showcase a "Throwback" card from the past. This is a chance to see how far we have come, see how far crafting products have come, and hopefully a chance to make you smile, learn and laugh with us!
This post is from March 2009 –
Yes! DIY Cardmaking Ideas for beginners, anyone can be creative. We will show you how to make a simple yet beautiful card even a beginner can do.
Cut your 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper at 5 1/2 inches and you will create 2 card bases.
Next you'll want to fold your card in half matching up the corners and then using the bone folder to crease the fold for a nice crisp fold.
Then take a piece of Designer Series Double Sided paper and cut it at 5 1/2 inches long and then at 2 inches wide.
Next adhere the designer series paper to the card base using snail adhesive.
As you can see the Designer Series Paper is applied horizontally to the card. Then we took the self adhesive die cuts and put one layer at the top of the card and then assembled the die cut cupcake. Then we picked out a rub – on greeting from the chit chat rub-ons and applied to the upper right of the card.
Next we picked out the "It's your birthday" rub-on from the Fashion District Rub-Ons.
That's It! Voila! Your Done! This card took approximately 5 minutes for us to complete. Now it's your turn! Let see what you can create! Upload your exclusive Stampin' Up! card to kari@1stclasscreativity.com and you will be entered into the Customer Of the Month contest.*
