Cardmaking Ideas for Mothers Day? Yes, Today is Mother's Day so if you are like us, time got away from you and your Mom or Mother In Law will be at your door step in an hour!
Today we are going to share with you some Cardmaking Ideas you can whip up really quick using this card we created for Mother's Day just in time for you to copy it and give it to YOUR MOM or Mother In Law!
We were inspired (and entered this card into) the Dazzling Divas #24 Hexagon Challenge and thought it was a perfect way to add a popular trend to Mother's Day!
In addition to creating this card for the challenge we were able to play with the New Stampin' Up! Blendabilities! LOVE THEM! This girl (from a new stamp set in our NEW Catalog COMING SOON!) was colored with them! We also colored the rhinestones with the Rich Razzleberry Blendability and some of the Hexagons as well! The Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die (132965) is from our "Celebrate the Everyday" Catalog on Page 26,
You can get complete instructions on how to create this card in this Download Mother's Day Hexagon Metal Card tutorial
Are you asking yourself…..what if I don't have the exact supplies on this card? How do I create a card like this?
Here are some Cardmaking Ideas you can use to create a card before your mom or mother in law reaches your home (or you leave to visit them):
- Look at the Layout of the Card and think of how it's laid out and go from there (think of it as a sketch).
- If you don't have the Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die yet, consider using a Hexagon Embossing folder, or create a background using a Hexagon Punch. If neither are available any embossing folder will work!
- Missing Rhinestones? Substitute brads or use a paper piercer
- Use Flowers in Place of the Celebrating Girl or another Stamp Set you feel might work well!
Hoping these tips will help you whip up a beautiful and thoughtful card for your Mom or Mother In Law!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! ENJOY!
