Dazzling Divas Challenge – Yep I've decided to take the plunge and design a card using this photo for inspiration. If you have followed my blog you know I have been experimenting with different types of crafting materials in my projects. One of my favorites are the Metal Sheets I purchase from Monica at Add A Little Dazzle, and YOU TOO can experience the crafting joy of using craft metal as well by CLICKING HERE.
So when I went to her blog today and saw this challenge, well I just had to take the plunge and participate! My mind was confused at first when I saw this photo. I literally took a double take. Lets face it, it's not often you see a Gourd and pink roses. Wow, what a contrast the Gourds are against the pink roses. Immediately I was drawn to the pink roses. So excited to begin I literally sprinted down the stairs to my Design Studio and searched my Craft Metal Sheets. I kept searching, hoping that I would uncover the gorgeous Pucker Me Pink Metal Sheets…..my heart sank as I realized that I didn't have any. Hum….so now what is a girl to do? Ok, I thought I'll have to go to plan B. I studied the photo and believe it or not I zeroed in on the tree in the background on the far right of the photo and the white gourds. The tree reminded me of a birch tree so I went into my Stampin' Up! Stash and pulled out the Birch paper Ribbon from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit (item#133463) and a card was created.
The gourds reminded me of the fall weather so I pulled out my Autumn Accents Bigz die cut to cut out the leaves on this project. The white gourds spoke to me so I grabbed Parchment Paper to add to the card. Then I just had to add some burlap ribbon! Using craft metals sheets have turned my projects from being fun, nice, and pretty to truly extraordinary!
