DIY Snowflake Card using Embossing Paste on Glimmer Paper is today's share, and I'm excited to share with you something I found out while experimenting with Embossing Paste.
This card was going to be used for the red and white challenge at a couple of web sites but I didn't get it up on time. I just had to share it with you though as it has lots of fun texture yet very easy to create. What I found out is that embossing paste sticks to glimmer paper! Isn't that awesome? I was so excited!
Imagine giving this card to someone to just brighten up their day, they will be impressed! Wouldn't this bring a smile to your face? The best part is you can complete this card in 6 EASY steps!
- To create the card I used the Antler Snowflake from ALD and embossed it with White Embossing Paste from Dreamweaver.
- Then I used the circle Framelits to cut out the Snowflake after I embossed it on top of the glimmer paper (be sure it's dry before you cut it out). I was so excited that it worked. I'm still getting the hang of the embossing paste but it's coming along.
- I embossed the Wonderous White Craft Metal from ALD with the NEW Sale-A-Bration Decorative Dots (133520) embossing folder I got for free with my $50 order. I just love getting things free don't you? Then I used a circle framelit to cut it out.
- Next. I used the same embossing folder on some Scarlet Red metal but de bossed the dots.
- Then I assembled the glimmer paper to the back of the Scarlet Red metal, tied the White Taffeta Ribbon to it, then mounted the circles.
- Next I attached all of the layers to Whisper White card stock and placed a Rhinestone in the middle of the snowflake!
Six simple steps to this card and you get lots of texture and sparkle you can't beat that! Now create one for yourself and imagine the joy the recipient will have when they open it!
