Birthday's are Fun! This past Sunday I was celebrating my Sister Sue and my nephew Brayden's birthdays. Brayden just turned 8 and we all had such a lovely time! Here is the card I created for my sister:
This card was created using some fun items from our Sale-A-Bration Promotion which will go live on January 28th. Notice the fringe created with our new Fringe Scissors and the paper from the Sale-A-Bration Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper? And those dots embossed with white craft metal, they are from the Decorative Dots Textured Embossing Folder that you can get for FREE once Sale-A-Bration starts (with qualifying order). The stamp set is from See Ya Later also a Sale-A-Bration stamp set so I'm super excited to show you more! The cat was created with black embossing paste and a dreamweavers stencil.
Here are some photos from my nephews party. My sister Richelle made this cake for her son as he wanted a dragon cake. I thought she did pretty well! I remember doing this for my kids when they were that age!
Here is a picture of Brayden's Christmas/Birthday Present. His Aunt Kari (yep that's me) and Uncle Jeff gave him two pet rats (named Rico and Dino). He loves his new pets!
Now can't say I'm a huge fan of rats but they are much friendly and smarter than Hamsters.
And when I see how happy they make Brayden, well, I LOVE that the Rats make him happy! The other rat is inside that purple dome behind Brayden, it was much more shy!
Ok, I know this picture is a little blurry, that is the dance of selfies, but I had such a blast with my niece Marissa taking some funny selfies. We were making all sorts of funny faces!
This is my daddy. This picture was taken in the basement of my sisters house so it's a bit grainy but I love his smile in this picture. My mom has been in heaven for 10 years now and it's just hard to believe that time has passed so quickly. Thankful we still have him to bless our family events.
Just before we left one of my sisters snapped this photo. I love my Boys! The tall one in the middle is only 15 and he's my youngest Jacob. The tough guy on the far right is my son Trevor (he will be headed to college this fall) and the little guy on the left is my sweet nephew Brayden. Isn't that smile infectious! The bunny ears above Brayden (lol) are courtesy of Donald. He's a five year old son of my sisters friends son and I just love it! Life is too short to be taken so seriously. I love candid shots, and I love the true personality the shines through!
