DIY Wood Projects on a card? Yes! This card was fun and easy to make and it contains a fun little element of Balsa Wood!
Here is how you do it!
Take your color choice (I chose Baked Brown Sugar) and open the lid and swipe it across the Balsa wood. I took me three attempts to get the color in the photo.
Wear Gloves if you don't want to get ink on your hands.
Once your Balsa wood is dry you will want to run it through the Big Shot to get your layer.
- Take your Balsa wood and use the New Squares Collection Frame Lits (Item #130921 pg. 186 in new catalog) to determine how big you want your layer.
- Put your chosen size framelet onto your Balsa Wood
- Now build your layer
- Big Shot Magnetic Platform (Item#130658)
- Place cutting plate on top of the Magnetic Platform
- Place Balsa wood with your framelit on top of the wood on top of cutting plate
- Put the second cutting plate on top of the framelit & wood
- Run through the big shot and your done!
I love using different types of materials in my card projects and Balsa Wood is just one of them!
Also I have to say the New Big Shot Magnetic Platform does an awesome job of keeping the framelits in place! You will love this handy dandy tool!
