Yesterday was a super bright beautiful sunny day. You know the kind of day , the sun is rising in the East and it's blinding! The, " I wear my sunglasses and put down my visor and still can't see" blinding solar glare! Well that is what happened to my 17 year old as he left for school yesterday with his brother. He learned the dangers of blinding sun light the hard way.
Approximately 30 seconds after they leave for school I get a call that they were in an accident. The horror that strikes through a parents heart when they get a call that there was an accident that their child was involved in is so disturbing I can't explain it.
My kids called me and said they were in an accident. I look out the window and the mini van they were driving (my 2001 Honda Odyseey) was stopped dead in its tracks by my neighbors trailer that he had parked in the road. I saw my kids out of the van and was so thankful they appeared ok. When I got closer I realized how much they were shook up.
My oldest said, "wow that really hurt, Mom I didn't see anything. It was so bright. I swear I didn't even know this was here I didn't even realize I hit something I was really confused. It didn't make sense that I would hit something in the road."
I replied" I'm glad your ok. The Sun glare accompanied by the black trailer that got canceled out because of the sun glare explains everything."
My youngest said, "Mom I didn't see it either. I was putting down my visor. I thought we hit a pot hole"
So as the raditor fluid spewed onto the street I had the boys empty the van with me and I then took them to the Chiropractor. After that they received some tylenol because my younger one hurt his knee in the crash and the older one got whiplash and upper body tightness with headaches.
I'm praying today will be a good day with no pain. My youngest did wake up with rib pain so I'll have to keep an eye on him. Praise the Lord they are OK for now!
So which of these pictures are more compelling?
