Today we are sharing with you What Adhesive To Use For Vellum Paper when adhering to card stock AND What Adhesive To Use For Vellum Paper when adhering to Craft Metal.
Vellum Cardstock is such a great layer to add to your projects. It’s super trendy! Hiding the adhesive and using the correct adhesive for your Vellum Paper will make you feel like an accomplished crafter. You will have joy knowing how to tackle this frustrating problem.
What Adhesive To Use For Vellum Paper when attaching to card stock:
- If you are adhering the vellum directly to the layer below it – use Stampin' Up!'s Anywhere Glue Sticks or acid free glue sticks.
- A complete coating of our Anywhere Glue Stick adhesive will dry clear and you won't see a thing.
- Glue sprays and thin strips of adhesives work best with vellum paper.
- TIP: If you are gluing vellum to card stock, apply the glue first to the card stock. Allow it to dry a little before placing the vellum on the card stock. Any adhesive or glue that glob will be seen through the vellum paper or leave unwanted bumps and ripples in the vellum.
- It is best to place the adhesive under layers of vellum or on portions of the vellum that will not be seen, for instance under an embellishment.

Advise on adhering a picture printed on vellum to be adhered to a acrylic painted canvas.
I came across a method, accidentally, that has worked better than any other. I purchased double sided adhesive sheets, which also comes in tape form, and adhered it in strips, first to the vellum paper and then to the receiving surface. Couldn’t see anything. Hope that helps!!
That is a great updated option for adhering vellum to your paper crafting projects. Thank you for sharing.
Kathy that is something I have not tried before. That is a great idea, the challenge comes with getting the vellum to adhere to the acrylic painted canvas. Please let us know how it turned out and what you tried. You have me wanting to try that now!
I want to adhere the vellum to a wood tray. Suggestions?
Hi Cindy,
Where on the wood tray do you wish to place the Vellum? Is the wood tray purely decorative or will it be a tray that is used to serve food etc?
