DIY Handmade card using sequins, circles and heat embossing.
This card was Cased (copied) by fellow demonstrator Wendy who came up with this awesome design. Part of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is participating in swaps where you get great ideas from other demonstrators. I fell in love with this card and just had to recreate it myself.
If you are like me, there are times you want to create a card with some wow factor but is simple and doesn't take a lot of time. What if I told you this card is that kind of card? You would be excited right!? I know I was when I created this card and just had to share with you how to create it!
Supplies:
- Stamp Set; Happy Congratulations
- Designer Paper: Retro Fresh
- Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Brushed Gold
- Other: Gold Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink, Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Vakers Twine, 3/4" Circle Punch, Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, heat tool, glue dots.
Dimensions:
- Cut Tangerine Tango to 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 – Fold in half to form 5 1/2 by 4 1/4
- Cut Brushed Gold to 4 1/4 height by 5 1/2 wide
- Cut Very Vanilla to 3 7/8 height by 5 1/2 wide
Instructions:
- Adhere with snail adhesive the Brushed Gold card stock on top of the folded Tangerine Tango Card Stock leaving approximately 3/8 of an inch on both the top and bottom.
- Next run embossing buddy over the Very Vanilla Card Stock.
- Now stamp the words in Versamark ink on the Very Vanilla Card stock, cover with gold embossing powder and use the heat tool to emboss.
- Next take the gold bakers twine and place on top of the Very Vanilla Card Stock adhere to back of the card stock with snail adhesive and layer on top of the brushed gold card stock.
- Next punch out 5 circles from the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper.
- Using glue dots place gold sequins on the card as desired and you are done!
So you can see this is really a very duplicate able card and so fun and easy to do! Imagine using this layout for a birthday card or any festive occasion!
